D'Vinely Chosen Doula was birthed from a divine calling.

God was preparing my heart for this purpose. As a mother and grandmother, women often sought me out for wisdom, comfort, prayer, encouragement and reassurance. I became a safe place where they could feel heard, supported, and strengthened. Looking back,  I saw those moments were God's way of preparing me to serve mothers during one of the most sacred seasons of their lives. 

I was being prepared for the role of a doula. 

 

The calling became clearer, standing beside a mother during childbirth. Through every contraction, every prayer, every word of encouragement, and every moment of uncertainty, I remained a calm and unwavering presence. When her baby was finally placed in her arms, relief washed over her. Her tears became tears of joy. Her anxious heart gave way to peace. She looked at her newborn with overwhelming love, then looked at me with gratitude- a quiet expression that said, "I couldn't have done this without your support."  I witnessed not only the birth of a beautiful child, but the birth of a confident mother.

I then knew this was more than something I could do-it was what God had called me to do.

Because every mother is chosen. Every baby is a precious gift from God. And every birth story deserves to be honored with dignity, surrounded  by love, and covered in prayer.
